We are looking for an Executive Assistant, Enterprise Risk Management. The successful candidate will be required to be in-office approximately 2 days/week based on our hybrid model. 

 

Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be in the following head office locations: Winnipeg or Toronto.

 

Role description 

 

Enterprise Risk Management plays a central role in risk oversight for the organization. It presents team members with the opportunity to work with a wide range of diverse stakeholders and develop collaborative partnerships across business segments and functions. 

 

The role primarily supports the Senior Vice President, Head of Enterprise Risk Management but also provides support to senior leaders within Enterprise Risk Management.   The role reports to the Vice President, Enterprise Risk Management.

 

To be successful in this role, the incumbent must be detail oriented, be adaptable and work well with complexity & ambiguity.  In addition, the individual will need to build strong relationships, work independently in a fast-paced environment, and exercise discretion while managing confidential information.

 

What you will do 

  • Organize schedules including the evaluation & reprioritization of schedules when unexpected priorities arise.  Independently follow-up on action items, maintain calendars, coordinate travel arrangements and expense reports, maintain files, and prepare correspondence and other presentation materials
  • Preserve confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgment regarding sensitive matters
  • Support the planning and organization of team events, including celebrations, activities around holiday season, and recognizing the achievements of our team.  Plan, organize and manage department activities such as department meetings, townhalls, annual planning and other events.
  • Preparing reports, presentations, webinars and other events as required
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tasks, providing timely updates and response to all requests

What you will bring 

  • Experience supporting an executive team, across geographic locations, who work closely with executive internal and external stakeholders as well as board and regulators.
  • Experience working in a complex matrixed organizational structure and an ability to quickly learn these structures
  • Post-secondary education, or a combination of education and work experience
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams)
  • Demonstrated customer service mindset
  • Ability to build and manage trusting relationships with business partners
  • Demonstrated strong organizational capabilities with the ability to handle multiple priorities
