We are maturing our Information Security Technology team who will work closely with Global and Canadian Information Security Offices and other Infrastructure and Application Technology teams to delivery security services that defend global enterprise, including business units, customers, and shareholders from external and internal security threats. What you’ll do:
The Senior Security Specialist is responsible for engineering of new security technologies and operational excellence of existing security technologies. General
- Demonstrate strong security fundamentals while working hands-on with security technologies

Operations
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation, achieve incident service levels and participate in CIRT or MIR calls as requried
- Ensure security control health & compliance and assist with automation of manual tasks / improved proactive alerting
- Implement security policies / blocks and perform continuous tuning to ensure effectiveness of security controls
- Assist with key performance indicator reporting to reinforce the business value of our security controls

Who you are:

We are looking for a Manager, Technology Audit.
Reporting to the Director of Technology Audit, the Manager, Technology Audit, will be responsible for leading the annual ICOFR programme (ITGCs review) and effective management and delivery of the assigned portfolio of technology engagements across all IT functions and lines of business for Canada Life. You are a true Agile practitioner and coach, bringing years of experience conducting Agile events, building a community of Agile efforts and in coaching Agile teams. The Software Developer will participate in all aspects of software development, maintenance, and integration within the Corporate Technology division. As an Technology Student you are a key member of a highly respected, professional, DevOps team and will have an opportunity to work in one of the following possible areas:
- Cloud Infrastructure
- DevOps
Note: This is a 4 month co-op starting in September 2023. We have positions available in Toronto, London, and Winnipeg.
What you will do
- Accountable for the monitoring, maintenance and support of systems, services and tools, as well as deploying net-new capabilities in accordance with DevOps principles.
- Will participate in squad activities through the development, maintenance and automation of efficient tools and processes.
- Ensures continuous, high velocity delivery and automated deployment using software provisioning, configuration management, source code management and/or team collaboration applications which enable the business to produce products faster through delivery supply chain automation thereby delivering customer value. This will include building new solutions, migrating existing capabilities to the new digital stack, automating current processes & interfaces and assisting in formalizing infrastructure standards.
- The incumbent will be expected to stay current with technical advancements and bring new thoughts and patterns to the organization.
- Requires broad technical knowledge and experience across a variety of IT areas, including infrastructure, development, operations, and quality assurance.

The Product Owner will partner closely with our business development, operations, product development, AI and efficiencies teams to drive the end-to-end strategic direction for one of our key digital products.
You will play a key role in leading our organization through the associated change, and realize the ROI for the business.

Our development teams are designing, developing and delivering new digital products that improve the experience of members, sponsors and advisors. We bring human centered design, agile methodologies and modern digital practices to life.
Our multi-functional teams of Designers, Developers, Technical leaders, Scrum Masters and Product Owners all collaborate together in an open, innovative and inclusive culture.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for the end product and key business decisions
- Provide overall product guidance and leadership to the team Set an ambitious and clear product vision
- Develop a product roadmap that aligns to corporate, technology & BU strategies
- Communicate a product story effectively to key team members
- Build & continuously improve the backlog of product features
- Capture maximum customer value and optimize technology efficiencies
- Advocate and ensure a focus on customer-driven design
- Consistently seek to understand user pain points, and ensure design effectiveness through appropriate testing
- Write user stories and carefully articulate acceptance criteria
- Approve each feature and provide timely and regular feedback for the team
- Establish KPIs that monitor, measure and identify when outcomes / business value is not being delivered as planned.
- Collaborate with business partners to ensure operational readiness, drive change management, adoption strategy and tactics
- Commitment to driving both digitization and related process efficiencies to reduce manual handling wherever possible.
- Actively support and champion technical efforts to build modular and reusable solutions that offer future benefits for all Canada Life and eliminate redundant efforts.
- Ensure inherent risk with the business roadmap is identified, assessed, prioritized and appropriately mitigated.
- Support and alignment to CTR program and technology risk reduction
